Artist's Description
Most of the barns with brick-end decorations can be found in south central Pennsylvania. This is the private side of the famous Donkey Barn, which some believe depicts Christ riding into Jerusalem. If that is the case, then I believe this side depict the ascension of Christ into Heaven. Notice the other religious symbols: communion wafers, crosses, sheaves of wheat.
